
14.7 Billion Meters Gas Transported from Azerbaijan in January-April

According to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, in January-April of this year, 14 billion 712 million cubic meters of gas were transported from Azerbaijan by main gas pipelines, compared to the corresponding period in 2022, an increase of 5.7% was recorded.
Almost half (49.9%) of the transported volume of gas in the indicated period was carried out through the South Caucasus Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum (BTE) pipeline. It exports blue fuel produced at the Shah Deniz gas condensate field.
In the first four months of 2023, 7 billion 346 million cubic meters of gas were transported via BTE (an increase of 8.3% compared to the corresponding period of 2022).
Notably, Azerbaijani gas supplies via the TAP gas pipeline to consumers in Italy, Greece, and Bulgaria began on December 31, 2020. From January 1, 2023, gas supplies to Romania began. In addition, Azerbaijani gas is also exported to Turkey (through the TANAP gas pipelines and the South Caucasus Pipeline, SKTM) and Georgia (through the SKTM and through the Gazimagomed-Gazakh gas pipeline).
