
Abkhazia Seeks International Recognition with Bid for Ties to Palestine

At a meeting of the Public Council under the de-facto Ministry on November 6, Inal Ardzinba, the de-facto Foreign Ministry of the separatist Abkhazia, stated that the country is working to establish diplomatic relations with Palestine.
"Participants of the Public Council at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia discussed the complex military-political and humanitarian situation in the zone of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The Abkhazian Foreign Minister noted that a dialog is being conducted with the special representative of Palestine in Russia and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Russia. The Minister noted that the dialog concerns, among other things, the prospect of establishing diplomatic relations," the de-facto Abkhazian Foreign Ministry reported.
