
Abkhazia's De-facto Defense Ministry Intensifies Commanders' Training

On August 2, the de-facto Ministry of Defense of the separatist Abkhazia stated that the training courses for junior commanders are planned based on the Sokhumi Higher Combined Arms Command School and will be included in the system of military professional training of personnel of the Armed Forces of Abkhazia.
"The training is based on tactical and special academic disciplines, special practical exercises on the use of weapons and military equipment in modern combat, taking into account the experience of a special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," the de-facto ministry said. Commander training of personnel will be carried out throughout the academic year. The duration of the course is one month. The training program provides theoretical and practical classes. At the same time, the ratio of theory and practice will be 30% and 70% of the study time, respectively.
Training is carried out according to the methodology developed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces. It includes training programs and an educational and methodological complex for conducting all types of classes. "The purpose of the classes is to increase the level of combined arms and special training of the sergeants of units and subunits of the Ministry of Defense, to acquire the necessary skills in managing units in everyday activities and the conditions of modern combined arms combat," the ministry noted.
