
Armenia and Germany Boost Ties During Foreign Ministers' Meeting

On November 19, German Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock met with Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan. The meeting at the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and advancing democratic values, with both ministers expressing mutual interest in deepening their partnership.
Minister Mirzoyan remarked, "I am always pleased to see you and engage in discussions on global issues, our region, and our relations with Germany, as well as the Armenia-EU partnership and the deepening of our ties. There are numerous tools, mechanisms, and documents we are reviewing regarding Armenia-EU relations, and your contribution is vital."
The two foreign ministers held extensive discussions on Armenia-EU partnerships, highlighting recent achievements, ongoing initiatives, and potential areas for collaboration. Minister Mirzoyan emphasized the ambitious scope of the new Armenia-EU partnership agenda, which builds on past cooperation and reflects a shared vision for the future.
Cooperation within multilateral platforms was also a focus of the talks. The ministers exchanged views on regional matters, particularly the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Minister Mirzoyan outlined progress in this process, including efforts to finalize a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, stressing the significance of signing such an agreement. He also highlighted Armenia's constructive stance on unblocking regional communications, framing it as a key element of the peace agenda and broader regional economic integration.
