Armenian Defense Minister: "No Build-Up of Azerbaijani Troops Observed Along Armenia's Borders"

On March 15, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan said that no build-up of Azerbaijani troops had been observed along Armenia's borders.
"At the moment, there are no accumulations of Azerbaijani troops, but it does not mean we have to lower our vigilance. Since we are talking about preparedness, I would not like to give the impression that we are talking about war. We are not deviating from our peaceful agenda, but that does not mean that borders or territorial integrity of our country are negotiable," Papikyan said.
"The danger of escalation has never disappeared, and we have always talked about it, taking into account the statements made by the Azerbaijani leader, including his aggressive rhetoric. Naturally, this gives us a reason to be vigilant and ready to defend the borders of our country," Papikyan said.
It should be noted that in recent days, Armenian sources have reported a buildup of Azerbaijani troops along Armenia's borders and in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenian and Azerbaijani political experts and Telegram channels have warned of the risks of a new escalation in the region.
