
Azerbaijan and Pakistan Deepen Bilateral Cooperation in Political, Economic, and Cultural Spheres

On January 23-24, Elnur Mammadov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, visited Pakistan and participated in the 4th round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of both countries in Islamabad. The consultations were co-chaired by Mammadov and Amna Baloch, Pakistan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The discussions covered cooperation in political, economic, trade, agriculture, education, culture, energy, tourism, and other fields, emphasizing the positive impact of mutual high-level visits. The dialogue highlighted milestones such as President Ilham Aliyev's 2024 state visit to Pakistan and the bilateral agreements signed during that visit, along with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's participation in the COP29 Leaders' Summit in Baku.
Deputy Minister Mammadov briefed the Pakistani side on Azerbaijan's peace agenda, normalization with Armenia, reconstruction in the liberated territories, and investment projects. Views were exchanged on international cooperation, regional matters, and other shared interests.
Mammadov also met Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, to discuss strategic cooperation and the significance of mutual high-level visits. On January 24, Mammadov addressed the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Joint Commission.
