
Azerbaijan and Turkey's Foreign Ministers Tour Earthquake-Hit Kahramanmaraş

On February 11, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, visited Kahramanmaraş in Turkey to observe the areas impacted by the earthquake. He was welcomed by Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.
During this visit, Bayramov toured the AFAD Center and was informed about the evacuation and rescue operations. He then went to a base where flexible rescue forces from Azerbaijan were working to save citizens who were trapped in the rubble. After expressing his appreciation for their efforts in saving lives, he visited a field hospital that Azerbaijan had sent to provide medical services to those injured in the earthquake. Bayramov thanked all those involved for their hard work and dedication to helping victims of this natural disaster.
On February 6, a 7.4-magnitude earthquake with at least six aftershocks struck near the Turkish-Syrian border region causing at least 30000 fatalities.
