
Azerbaijan and US Air Force Discuss Regional Peace and Stability at Meeting in Pentagon

On April 10, the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force announced that General Charles Brown, the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, met with Lieutenant General Ramiz Tahirov, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan and Commander of the Air Force. "We held fruitful discussions on our bilateral defense relations, regional peace, and stability," he said.
Khazar Ibrahim, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States, also participated in the meeting.
At the same time, the US Embassy in Azerbaijan also released information about the meeting. According to the information, on April 10, the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force, General Charles Brown, and the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs, Major General Julian C. Cheater, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, the Commander of the Air Force, General - met with lieutenant Ramiz Tahirov in the Pentagon.
Notably, military cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States has been ongoing for many years. One of the primary areas of collaboration between the two countries is counterterrorism. The United States has provided Azerbaijan with training, equipment, and intelligence support to help combat terrorist groups in the region. In addition, the United States has provided military aid to Azerbaijan to help modernize its armed forces. This has included the provision of weapons, equipment, and training programs designed to improve the capabilities of Azerbaijan's military.
