
Azerbaijan-Iran Relations Show Signs of Progress

On April 14, a telephone conversation was held between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran, Jeyhun Bayramov and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, during the conversation, the ministers discussed the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran. "The parties said that it is possible to continue the negotiations and to carry out bilateral visits if necessary. At the same time, the ministers exchanged views on regional issues", the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said.
According to the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Abdollahian and Bayramov held the third round of telephone conversations on the latest situation in bilateral relations. "During the negotiations, the parties emphasized continuing the agreements reached between the two countries. Permanent meetings of high-level diplomats of Iran and Azerbaijan in the two countries' capitals are on the agenda. "During the constructive negotiations, the ministers emphasized that the consultations between the officials of the two countries are continuing," the information added.
Notably, this is the third telephone conversation between the two countries' foreign ministers during the last week. Earlier, on April 7 and 8, a telephone conversation was held between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran.
