Azerbaijani Serviceman Found and Detained in Armenia

On April 10, Armenian security forces detained one Azerbaijani serviceman and are searching for another. Both are believed to have crossed into Armenia for unknown reasons, the Armenian Ministry of Defence reported.
The individual was apprehended in Ashotavan, a village in the Syunik province of Armenia, which is not far from Azerbaijan’s Nakhichevan exclave. According to residents, the individual wore civilian clothes and had no firearms.
Meanwhile, the Azerbaijani military reported that two of its soldiers, who were serving in Nakhichevan, had gone missing due to heavy fog. However, their identities have not been disclosed by the Azerbaijani military.
According to reports, the Azerbaijani individuals were initially spotted in Bnunis, a village located a few kilometers south of the town of Sisian in Syunik province. Local residents stated that they approached the house of a fellow villager.
The presence of Azerbaijani individuals in the region caused unease among the local population, leading to calls for heightened security measures to ensure the community's safety.
