
Baku and Warsaw Discuss Cooperation Amid Poland's EU Presidency

On January 5, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski discussed prospects for Azerbaijan-European Union (EU) and Azerbaijan-Poland cooperation.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Sikorski expressed Poland's readiness to provide technical support in investigating the recent passenger plane crash involving Azerbaijan Airlines. The ministers also discussed priority issues during Poland's presidency of the EU Council over the next six months, Azerbaijan-EU relations in this context, and future prospects for the Eastern Partnership.
The conversation highlighted the broad potential for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland in political, economic, alternative energy, humanitarian, and other areas. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing mutual visits and political dialogue to develop bilateral relations further. Additionally, the ministers exchanged views on regional and international security issues.
