
Chechen and Georgian Muslim Leaders Strengthen Ties in Grozny Meeting

On November 19, cooperation between the Muslim communities of Chechnya and Georgia was the focus of discussions during a meeting in Grozny between Salakh Mezhiev, the Chechen Mufti, and Etibar Eminov, the East Georgian Mufti and the head of the Directorate of Muslims throughout Georgia.
"The main topic of discussion was the strengthening of spiritual ties between the Muslim communities of the two republics. Special attention was paid to joint initiatives in religious education, cultural exchange, and support for Islamic traditions," stated the Press Service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Chechen Federal Republic.
Salakh Mezhiev emphasized that such meetings foster friendship and mutual understanding between peoples while also enabling Muslim communities to exchange experiences and explore new forms of cooperation. Etibar Eminov highlighted the significance of the interaction between Muslim regions in reinforcing the unity of the Islamic Ummah.
Both leaders expressed their readiness to implement joint projects to preserve and promote Islamic values. The participants also agreed to continue their dialogue and strengthen partnership relations.
