French Observers at Armenia-Azerbaijan Border Prompt Accusations from Baku

On October 29, the government-controlled Report Agency reported an increase in visits by European Union observers to Armenia's border with Azerbaijan since the start of October.
Report noted that a group of observers recently arrived near the Armenian village of Nerkin Hand, situated close to Azerbaijan’s Zangilan district. Footage obtained by Report shows that, unlike previous visits where the observers used EU-branded vehicles, one of the three vehicles arriving at the border on Tuesday was flying the French flag.
The agency pointed out that the vehicles carried six individuals in civilian clothing, raising speculation that they may include employees of French intelligence agencies. Report suggested that France is now openly deploying intelligence personnel at the Azerbaijan-Armenia border under its own flag rather than under the EU's designation.
The agency described this as a move by France, which it claims supports revanchist elements in Armenia, to disrupt the peace process in the region and potentially incite renewed conflict.
