Gazprom Armenia Reports Short-Term Partial Blockage of Gas Supply to Armenia

Gazprom Armenia, a subsidiary of the Russian Gazprom company in Armenia, informed it would suspend gas supply to several natural gas fueling stations for a couple of days as a safety precaution because of the disruptions of the daily volumes of imported gas.
According to the operator, the North Caucasus-Transcaucasia Transit Gas Pipeline, which supplies gas to Georgia and Armenia, experienced a partial obstruction. The partial blockage occurred on February 14 in Stavropol Krai, Russia, causing a drastic decrease in the daily volumes of gas imported into Armenia. The cause of the blockage was not mentioned.
Given the interruptions and insufficient quantities of imported gas, as well as the technical conditions and capacity of the underground gas storage facility in Abovyan city, Gazprom Armenia announced it would briefly suspend gas supply to a number of Automobile Natural Gas Fueling Stations starting at 11:00, February 18 as a safety measure to avoid mishaps and guarantee the consistent and uninterrupted supply of gas to the remaining gas consumers.
Over 90 other Natural Gas Fueling Stations will continue functioning with an uninterrupted gas supply.
