
Georgian Parliament Ratifies Agreement on Defense Cooperation with Azerbaijan

On June 13, the Georgian parliament ratified the agreement "On defense cooperation between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan" with 80 votes in favor. According to the information of the Parliament of Georgia, Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia Grigol Giorgadze participated in the session of the parliament.
The areas of cooperation defined by the agreement are military education, training, defense, security policy, cooperation within the NATO Partnership for Peace program, military legislation, military topography, military medicine, defense cyber security, social, sports, and cultural events.
The document envisages cooperation between the parties in formats such as official visits and working meetings, bilateral negotiations, consultations and exchange of experience and information of common interest, and participation in conferences and seminars.
