
Iran Urges South Caucasus Stability, Warns Against Geopolitical Rivalries

On the eve of April 9, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani emphasized the imperative of preventing the South Caucasus from becoming a battleground for geopolitical rivalries.
Kanaani made these remarks in response to the recent meeting in Brussels between Armenia, the US, and the EU. He stressed bolstering economic cooperation and fostering closer ties among regional countries. He emphasized that regional collaboration is vital for establishing peace and stability in the Transcaucasus region.
Additionally, the Iranian Foreign Ministry underscored the importance of leveraging regional frameworks, including the Consultative Platform "3+3" (comprising Russia, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia), to capitalize on opportunities for cooperation and dialogue.
