Kadyrov Addresses Russo-Ukrainian War in Meeting with Putin

On May 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who held a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations in Pyatigorsk, met with Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya.
Ramzan Kadyrov said that during a personal meeting with Vladimir Putin in Pyatigorsk, he reported to the president on the participation of Chechen units in the "special military zone." "During a personal meeting with our president, I reported on the participation of Chechen units in the special military zone, successes, equipment, and combat training. He said that at the moment, in Ukraine and the new border regions of Russia, Chechen fighters of the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard of the Russian Federation are serving in shifts: seven regiments and four battalions. Among them is the Akhmat special forces, staffed by volunteers. Every week, from the training base of the Russian University, special forces are sent to the line of contact, 200 trained and equipped with all the necessary volunteers," the head of Chechnya said.
Kadyrov stressed, "Our national leader is supported by the entire North Caucasus; the entire Chechen [Federal] Republic is especially grateful to him."
"Even though the agenda was narrow, Vladimir Vladimirovich himself asked me to voice the difficult issues of the region. I reported on the socio-economic situation in the republic and voiced several issues that cannot be resolved by the forces of the subject alone. The head of state promised to help everyone solve this problem. Before I could return after the meeting from Pyatigorsk to my native Grozny, I was already informed about the first positive results. And on Saturday, despite the day off, work in all areas has already moved forward thanks to the help of Vladimir Vladimirovich," Kadyrov noted.
