Kadyrov and Dudaev Discuss Ministry Performance, Future Priorities, and Strengthening 'Counter-Propaganda Efforts'

On February 27, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, met with Akhmed Dudaev, the Minister for National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press, and Information, to review the ministry's performance and discuss future priorities.
During the meeting, Akhmed Dudaev highlighted the ministry's efforts to engage with the public through live broadcasts, addressing over 20,000 appeals across 219 broadcasts. He emphasized the success of interdepartmental cooperation in countering foreign extremist propaganda, noting that more than 1,000 qualified specialists in the region are effectively combating disinformation. Dudaev also mentioned outreach efforts to Chechen natives in 62 Russian regions through the representative offices of the Chechen Republic, which resulted in 26,000 appeals being reviewed last year. Additionally, he praised the council under the head of the Chechen Republic for fostering interethnic harmony and ensuring that the region's diverse communities do not face animosity.
Kadyrov instructed the ministry to “continue working with a focus on strengthening cooperation with the clergy to counter "pseudo-Islamic propaganda" and stressed "the need for a more detailed assessment of the effectiveness of government and municipal efforts on the Internet." He also underscored "the importance of publicizing the real situation in the republic," given ongoing attempts by "unfriendly countries" to misrepresent events in Chechnya.
Referring to recent sanctions imposed on his mother, Aimani Nesiyevna, the president of the Regional Public Foundation named after Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, Kadyrov stated, "The foundation is actively engaged in charity work, including in African countries, which irritates ill-wishers seeking to smear its reputation."
