On May 5, Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of Chechnya, addressed journalists regarding circulating rumors about his possible resignation, confirming that he had requested to be relieved of his duties and expressing hope that his appeal would be accepted.
During the conversation, Kadyrov acknowledged hearing the same rumors about his resignation, stating, “They write all sorts of things. I, on the contrary, am asking to be relieved of my post. Another leader will have their own initiatives, their own vision. I hope that my request will be supported.”
