Kanat Bozumbaev: "Leaked Recording Significantly Differs from Actual Black Box Contents"

On January 24, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbaev addressed the leaked black box recording from the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane that crashed near Aktau on December 25. He stated that it significantly differs from the actual contents of the black box.
At a press conference, Bozumbaev explained that experts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Brazil had equal access to the black box data. He clarified that the leaked recording appeared to focus more on ground communications and lacked conversations between the crew members, which are present in the official black box data. He emphasized that the leak did not originate from the official investigative group and urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate information.
Bozumbaev assured that the black boxes remain in the custody of the investigative team, while the wreckage is stored in a hangar in Aktau for examination by international experts. He expressed confidence that the release of official materials would dispel rumors and misinformation surrounding the crash.
