On January 3, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that transferring the flight recorders of the plane that crashed in Aktau to Brazil for decoding was the only correct decision to ensure impartiality in the investigation.

Tokayev remarked, "The government commission has decided to send the flight recorders to Brazil, where the aircraft was manufactured, for decoding. I am confident that this is the only correct decision to ensure the objectivity and impartiality of the investigation." He further noted that in the current troubled world, the frequency of man-made and natural disasters is increasing, and not all countries, including developed ones, are adequately prepared for such emergencies. However, he emphasized that Kazakhstan demonstrates a commendable response to emergencies compared to other nations.

"In such situations, every second counts," he emphasized, expressing gratitude to all those involved in the rescue efforts. He also highlighted the solidarity of Kazakh citizens, many of whom rushed to donate blood for the victims.

A government commission was established to investigate the crash, and 17 international experts, including representatives from ICAO and IAC, have been invited to participate in the inquiry.
