
Latest Figures on Armenia’s Economic Activity Released

The Armenian Ministry of Finance published information on the implementation of Armenia’s state budget for January - April 2024. According to the report, state budget revenues for this period amounted to 863.4 billion drams, an increase of 9.3 percent, or 73.5 billion drams, compared to the same period in the previous year.
State budget expenditures reached 817.1 billion drams, a significant rise of 31.9 percent (197.4 billion drams) from the previous year. Consequently, the state budget was fulfilled with a surplus of 46.3 billion drams, a decrease from the 170.2 billion drams surplus recorded in the same period of the previous year.
The government also reports that the economic activity index in Armenia increased by 10.4% in April 2024 compared to April 2023. However, it experienced a slight decrease of 0.1% compared to the previous month, March 2024.
In April 2024, Armenia’s foreign trade increased significantly compared to the same month of the previous year. Specifically, exports registered a progressive growth of 2.9 times, while imports grew by 2.6 times.
Additionally, prices in the consumer market of Armenia decreased by 0.7% compared to the previous year.
