
NATO Special Representative Visits Yerevan for High-Level Talks

On May 23, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Javier Colomina, the Special Representative of NATO Secretary General for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, the Press Office of the Armenian Prime Minister reported.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the Armenia-NATO partnership and cooperation. Reference to the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan and border security and stability, the situation around Nagorno Karabakh, in particular, the humanitarian crisis resulting from Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin Corridor, the introduction of an international dialogue mechanism between Baku and Stepanakert, and other issues was also made.
On the same day, Ararat Mirzoyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, received Javier Colomina, the Press Office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
The interlocutors touched upon the issues of the Armenia-NATO cooperation. Issues related to security and stability in the South Caucasus were discussed.
"Ararat Mirzoyan presented the latest discussions in the negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the vision of the Armenian side on the key issues. Minister Mirzoyan stressed the need for Azerbaijan to abandon its aggressive policy and provocative actions, which is an important factor for the progress in the negotiations. The importance of effective steps by the actors interested in stability in the region was emphasized," the report added.
