Pashinyan Dissatisfied After Talk With Aliyev and Putin in Moscow

In parliament at a hearing on the implementation of the budget for 2022 on May 29, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that he was dissatisfied with the discussion on the Lachin corridor in Moscow last week.
Pashinyan said that at a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, one of the topics of discussion was the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of the blockade of the Lachin corridor by the Azerbaijani side. "I cannot say that the results are satisfactory. This is a painful situation; I have already said that the blocking of the corridor took place in the presence and in front of Russian peacekeepers. We will continue discussions with our colleagues to resolve this situation," the Prime Minister said.
The Armenian Prime Minister also informed that the opening of regional communications was discussed in Moscow, and Yerevan reiterated its readiness for this. "We are determined and interested in opening communications. And we show flexibility, but we adhere to the principle of the sovereignty of states," he said. In his opinion, the opening of all transport communications will stimulate the further growth of the Armenian economy.
