
Pashinyan Receives IMF Delegation, Praises Strong Partnership and Economic Progress

Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Iva Petrova, the outgoing Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Armenia, as she completes her tenure. Also in attendance was Alexander Tieman, who is set to take over as the new Chief of Mission, the PM press office informs.
During the meeting, Pashinyan highlighted the significant role of IMF-Armenia cooperation in supporting the country’s economic development. He noted that Armenia has maintained strong economic activity in the first quarter of the year and reiterated the government’s commitment to policies that ensure long-term sustainable growth.
The conversation focused on the successful conclusion of the fifth review of the IMF-supported program. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcomes, emphasizing the positive momentum of the partnership.
Discussions also covered key areas such as the financial sector's performance, strategies to improve the investment climate, stimulate economic activity, and address existing economic risks. The exchange reaffirmed the mutual commitment to deepening collaboration to promote economic stability and growth in Armenia.
