Pashinyan's Foreign Policy Moves May Risk Armenia's Sovereignty, MP Claims

On February 27, Armen Rustamyan, a member of the Armenia faction and representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Party, expressed concerns about Nikol Pashinyan's foreign policy moves, stating that they risk turning Armenia into the battleground of the global Russia-West clash.
Rustamyan emphasized that Armenia's situation was already challenging, and Pashinyan's actions could further complicate it by bringing the Russian-Ukrainian conflict onto Armenian territory, especially considering Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's potential visit to Armenia.
He suggested that the West's attempts to expand the anti-Russian front might come at Armenia's expense, leading to devastating consequences. Rustamyan warned that Armenia could find itself caught in the middle of a Russia-West conflict, with external forces dictating its position and undermining its sovereignty.
The MP expressed concerns about the potential loss of Armenian statehood and emphasized the need for responsible behavior in navigating Armenia's foreign policy to avoid such dire outcomes.
