
Ramzan Kadyrov Reports to Russian PM on Chechnya's Socio-Economic Development

At a meeting in Moscow on April 27, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, presented a report on the socio-economic development of the federal republic to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to Kadyrov, there is an increase in the volume of investments in fixed capital, the production of goods and services, and the number of jobs in the region. "The economic development model includes five breakthrough projects with a total investment value of 123 billion rubles [EUR 1.4 billion]. Its implementation will create 5.41 thousand jobs," he added.
"The volume of extra-budgetary investments in all projects is 15 billion 680 million rubles [EUR 178 million], 456 jobs have been created," Kadyrov emphasized.
Mikhail Mishustin noted that infrastructure budget loans, which the government distributes to the regions on behalf of the president, are an important impetus for construction.
