
Slovakia to Build Smart Village in Azerbaijan's Aghdam

On September 5, Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, received the delegation led by Boris Kollár, the Chairman of the National Council of the Slovak Republic, who was visiting Azerbaijan.
Speaking about economic relations, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova said that the future activities of the Joint Working Group established between Azerbaijan and Slovakia will contribute to the deepening of economic cooperation between countries. Noting the important role played by Azerbaijan in Europe's energy security, the speaker of the parliament spoke about the future prospects of energy cooperation between governments and said that Slovakia's participation in the "Ring of Solidarity" STRING project will open a new chapter in future collaboration.
Boris Kollár expressed his satisfaction with the current relations between Azerbaijan and Slovakia. He drew attention to the importance of high-level mutual visits. The guest also touched on the importance of intensifying mutual visits and developing relations between parliamentary committees to develop inter-parliamentary relations.
During the conversation, Kollár stated that he was in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan during his last visit and that he will visit those territories tomorrow and get to know the ongoing reconstruction works. The guest informed about the "Smart Village" project to be implemented by Slovakia in the Aghdam region and expressed his satisfaction with his country's participation in restoring Azerbaijan's deoccupied territories.
