Tbilisi Mayor Kaladze to West: 'Stop Demanding a Second Front in Georgia'

During a meeting of the Tbilisi government on May 23, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze commented on Western politicians' demands to Georgia, stating, "If someone wants to open a second front, they have the Baltic countries, let them open it."
Kaladze expressed that Georgia's attitude in recent months is not friendship and a healthy attitude. Kaladze remarked, "We have gone through all this, and we know how much trouble war can bring to a country. Even today, we have not yet been able to heal these wounds; we still face many problems after the 2008 war. We don't need your worries and indignation anymore, we take care of you too," addressing representatives of the EU and the US who are demanding the cancellation of the ‘Russian’ law on foreign agents adopted by the Georgian Parliament.
He assured that the Georgian authorities will continue to defend their country and its interests. "However, let everyone know inside and outside the country that we are ready to be friends and for healthy relations and partnership. Show us, make concrete steps in this direction, and I will repeat that, of course, there will be no need for this law," Kaladze stated.
