
Armenia Commends EU Mission's Impact on Border Stability

On February 19, Armenian officials engaged in discussions with Stefano Tomat, the Civilian Operations Commander of the EU External Action Service, regarding the activities of the EU civilian monitoring mission in Armenia.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan met with Stefano Tomat, focusing on the mission's accomplishments since its deployment. Mirzoyan highlighted the mission's role in promoting stability along the international border with Azerbaijan. Both parties acknowledged the mission's significance in expanding Armenia-EU cooperation, indicating mutual interest in further deepening ties. They explored various dimensions of the Armenia-EU partnership and discussed opportunities for collaboration.
Additionally, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Stefano Tomat, expressing appreciation for the EU civilian mission's efforts along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Pashinyan emphasized the mission's role in maintaining peace and stability in the region. Discussions revolved around the mission's outcomes and future activities, underscoring the importance of ongoing development in Armenia-EU cooperation across multiple sectors.
