
Erdoğan Calls for Azerbaijan-Armenia Peace, Eyes New Regional Era

On March 12, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized Turkey's desire to initiate a new era in the region by facilitating the signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Erdoğan highlighted that ensuring stability in the South Caucasus is a key priority in Ankara's foreign policy agenda. Furthermore, Erdoğan expressed his steadfast support for initiatives that promote stability and peace among countries in the Balkan Peninsula.
Regarding bilateral relations, Erdoğan mentioned that Turkey and the United States have agreed to enhance their cooperation, a development reached during the recent meeting of the "strategic mechanism" held in Washington.
Erdoğan reiterated Turkey's commitment to its strategic goal of joining the European Union. Moreover, he highlighted Turkey's active role in commanding NATO forces in Kosovo since October, underscoring NATO's significance as a cornerstone of security, with Turkey being an active and influential member for over 70 years.
