The Armenian government is actively preparing for a range of scenarios in response to the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, including potential disruptions to logistics, energy supply, and even refugee flows. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan made the announcement during a session of the National Assembly, responding to a question from ruling faction MP Zaruhi Batoyan.

“It’s impossible to rule out any particular scenario. We need to plan for possibilities that may—or may not—come to pass,” Grigoryan stated. “These matters cannot be left to chance. I can assure you that various government departments are addressing them in a coordinated and consolidated way.”

Grigoryan declined to share specific details, citing the sensitive nature of ongoing discussions, but confirmed that energy and logistics were already key elements in the contingency planning.
“In fact, logistical issues have already begun to emerge. These remain a core focus of our efforts,” he added.

Earlier, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan reported that several cargo shipments bound for Armenia via Iran had been stalled at ports and along key transit routes, underscoring the real-time impact of the regional instability on Armenia’s trade.

The conflict escalated sharply on June 13, when Israel launched a strike on Iranian targets, triggering retaliatory attacks. The ongoing military operations have raised concerns across the region, including in Armenia, which relies heavily on neighboring routes for trade and supply chains.
