On August 25, Ararat Mirzoyan, the Foreign Minister of Armenia, continued discussions with ambassadors during a meeting in Kapan. Mirzoyan addressed the agreements reached during the Washington meetings on August 8, emphasizing the importance of the preliminary Armenia-Azerbaijan agreement for peace in the country and the region. He outlined Armenia’s foreign policy vision in this new context, highlighted emerging opportunities, and stressed the work required for their implementation.

The minister emphasized that advancing the peace agenda and ensuring a stable, secure, and prosperous environment for Armenian citizens are primary tasks for the government and the diplomatic service. He also discussed the opportunities arising from the unblocking of regional communications, efforts to integrate Armenia into expanding international networks, and the forthcoming implementation of the trilateral declaration signed in Washington. The meeting included a review of achievements and an exchange of views on ongoing work in various areas, including the development of strategic partnerships.

During the session, Vahan Kostanyan, Deputy Foreign Minister, presented developments, achievements, and ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with the Americas, Europe, neighboring countries, and the Middle East. He highlighted work on memorandums with the United States to develop bilateral strategic partnerships, initiatives to deepen Armenia-EU cooperation, and preparations for the European Political Community summit to be held in Armenia next year. Discussions also covered partnership development with Iran and Georgia, regional development, and expanding economic cooperation and investment with Middle Eastern countries.
