Armenian Officials React to Zakharova's Recent Comments on Armenia's Anti-Russian Gestures

On November 3, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan said that the characterization made the previous day by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova regarding the recent meeting between the Secretary of the Republic's Security Council Armen Grigoryan and the head of the Ukrainian presidential administration Andriy Yermak did not correspond to reality.
"This [forum in Malta] is a platform for Secretaries of Security Councils. I would not say that the meeting was dedicated to Ukraine. I think that such a characterization does not correspond to reality, given the agenda of this meeting," the deputy head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
In addition, Alen Simonyan, the Chairman of the Armenian Parliament, rejected Zakharova's claims and accusations.
He said that he assumes that Moscow does not want Yerevan to participate in multilateral platforms and is trying to maintain Armenia's vital dependence on Russia. Simonyan sarcastically writes in Telegram that it seems that the right partner should be like this.
