
Armenia's Economy Surges with 8.7% GDP Growth in 2023

In 2023, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Armenia totaled 9 trillion 502.8 billion drams, reflecting an increase of 8.7 percent compared to the previous period. This data was released by Armenia's Statistical Committee.
In the composition of the GDP, trade (wholesale and retail) accounts for 12.7 percent, the manufacturing industry comprises 11.1 percent, agriculture represents 8.4 percent, the real estate sector constitutes 8.3 percent, the financial sector makes up 7.4 percent, and construction contributes 6.9 percent.
The IT and telecommunications sector comprises 5.5 percent of the GDP, healthcare accounts for 5.4 percent, the transport sector represents 3.9 percent, the mining industry makes up 2.9 percent, and energy contributes 2.6 percent.
Additionally, Armenia's economic activity index increased by 9.4 percent during 2023.
