Azerbaijan and Ukraine Discuss Political, Economic, and Humanitarian Cooperation
On August 16, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, held a telephone conversation with Andrii Sybiha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. During the call, Sybiha congratulated Azerbaijan on the agreements reached with the United States during President Ilham Aliyev’s visit and on the progress in normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan.
The ministers also discussed key aspects of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine partnership, including cooperation in the political, economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian fields. Both sides highlighted the importance of the work of the Government Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine for advancing bilateral ties. Sybiha expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, including support in restoring and reconstructing conflict-affected areas. He also provided updates on the negotiation process regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Other matters of mutual interest were also addressed during the conversation.
