
Azerbaijan, Armenia Exchange Detained Soldiers in Gesture of Cooperation

On December 13, servicemen were exchanged on the delimited conventional border of Azerbaijan and Armenia, on the border of Azerbaijan's Gazakh district and Armenia's Ijevan district. Azerbaijan handed over 32 Armenian servicemen, and Armenia handed over 2 Azerbaijani servicemen.
Servicemen detained on the side of Azerbaijan and Armenia were mutually released. "After the health status of the Armenian servicemen detained on the Azerbaijani side was checked and deemed satisfactory by the International Committee of the Red Cross, according to the relevant agreement, on December 13, the military servicemen were transferred on the part of the Azerbaijan-Armenia border passing through the Gazakh region. There was no incident during the delivery process," the information added.
Notably, on December 7, as a result of negotiations between the Administration of the President of Azerbaijan and the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia, an agreement was reached on the release of 32 Armenian servicemen by Azerbaijan and 2 Azerbaijani servicemen by Armenia.
