Azerbaijan Continues Military Exercises

On April 12, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that according to the training plan for 2023 approved by the Minister of Defense, combat training classes were held with the tank units of the Azerbaijan Army on the combined-arms range.
The tank crews accomplished the assigned tasks of driving combat vehicles, destroying imaginary enemy targets in motion and motionless states, and overcoming natural and artificial obstacles. The servicemen demonstrated high professionalism during the classes held to maintain combat readiness at a high level and further improve the individual skills of the crew members.
On April 13, the Ministry stated that the Rocket and Artillery Troops units conducted live-fire tactical exercises.
By the plan, the units were withdrawn from the points of permanent deployment to assembly areas and accomplished tasks on deployment, taking firing positions and bringing equipment into combat readiness.
In the exercises conducted by real combat conditions, the units fulfilled exemplary combat shots from the Smerch rocket launcher system and DANA self-propelled gun howitzers. The tasks set in the exercises, in which imaginary enemy targets were destroyed by direct fire, were accomplished.
The primary attention during the exercises is paid to improving the command staff's ability to make fast decisions, knowledge and skills, planning activities during combat operations, developing interoperability with other types of troops, and increasing the field and practical skills of servicemen.
