In Davos and Baku, Azerbaijan held high-level meetings with EU and NATO officials to discuss energy cooperation, regional transport, humanitarian demining, the Armenia–Azerbaijan peace process, and the strengthening of partnerships across the political, economic, and security sectors.

On January 21, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan met with Marta Kos, the European Commissioner for Enlargement, in Davos. During the talks, the sides recalled Kos’s visit to Azerbaijan last year, including her trip to Karabakh. Kos stated that the large-scale reconstruction and development work underway in the deoccupied territories had made a deep impression on her. The meeting included an exchange of views on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as progress on the peace agenda. Cooperation in energy, regional transport connectivity, and humanitarian demining were also discussed, with particular attention paid to Azerbaijan’s contribution to Europe’s energy security. Kos affirmed that the European Union is ready to support Azerbaijan’s humanitarian demining efforts and projects related to the restoration of the Nakhchivan railway line.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Radmila Šekerinska, the NATO Deputy Secretary General. The parties discussed the current cooperation agenda and future prospects within the Azerbaijan–NATO partnership. Bayramov and Šekerinska considered opportunities for cooperation in humanitarian demining and cybersecurity, while Azerbaijan’s participation in NATO-led peace-support operations and its defense sector reforms were commended. Following the meeting, Šekerinska posted on X that Azerbaijan is a "highly valued partner of NATO".

On January 22, Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, met with the delegation led by Šekerinska. Gafarova highlighted Azerbaijan’s role as a regional transport hub and its contribution to the Alliance’s energy security through gas supplies. She also addressed the peace process, stating that under President Aliyev's leadership, Azerbaijan had restored its sovereignty and is taking consistent steps to advance peace.
