Azerbaijan to Renew Its Naval Forces

On June 25, Vice Admiral Subhan Bakirov, the commander of the Naval Forces of Azerbaijan, stated that Azerbaijan's ship fleet would be updated, and new intelligence systems would be purchased.
According to him, meetings are currently held with advanced defense industry companies on the issues of updating the ship park and acquiring surveillance, intelligence, and communications systems. Some of the named projects will be fully implemented in the near future.
"The Navy successfully implement the requirements of the marine security strategy approved by the President of Azerbaijan, and, according to the training plan, approved by Colonel General Zakir Gasanov, adequately cope with all the tasks," Bakirov said.
