
Azerbaijani Government to Fund Four Reconstruction Projects in Irpin, Ukraine

On October 2, during a meeting between Oleksandr Markushyn, the Mayor of Irpin, Ukraine, and Hikmat Hajiyev, the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, discussions centered on Azerbaijan's commitment to financing four reconstruction projects in Irpin.
Markushyn announced that several cultural, sports, and residential facilities in Irpin had been selected for restoration. The two sides discussed the financing mechanisms, the intergovernmental agreement, and related taxation issues. The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers and the embassies of both countries will handle design, technical, and diplomatic aspects. Markushyn emphasized that Ukraine and Irpin are receiving strong support from Azerbaijan.
The Irpin delegation also visited Azerbaijan's liberated territories. On September 30, a memorandum was signed to establish a sister city relationship between Lachin in Azerbaijan and Irpin in Ukraine. This agreement was signed by Masim Mammadov, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin District, and Mayor Markushyn during his visit to Lachin.
