Catholicos of All Armenians Blames Government for Loss of Karabakh
On October 1, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II said that Azerbaijan's invasive and genocidal actions, the world's inadequate response, the Armenian authorities' policy toward Nagorno-Karabakh, and the nation's division have led to the loss of Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Today, the Republic of Armenia faces the same threat," the head of the Armenian Apostolic Church pointed out. According to him, security challenges, territorial losses, the haste shown in the process of establishing peace under apparent coercion, and the way the government communicates with the public have created an atmosphere of distrust and caused a righteous uprising, which in the difficult situation created may lead to unfortunate developments."
Garegin II at the same time urged the Armenian authorities not to sow discord and not to divide people.
