
Dagestan Holds Navy Parade at Caspian Sea

On July 30, 50 ships participated in the Navy Day celebrations in Kaspiysk, Dagestan. The parade of ships began at 10:30 local time [GMT+3].
The parade formation of the ships included missiles, artillery, border ships, and hydrographic ships of various projects, which had powerful weapons, good seaworthiness, and maneuverability.
Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, the head of the Dagestani government, also participated in the parade.
The missile ship "Dagestan" was built at the Zelenodolsk plant named after. Gorky and, in 2012, became part of the flotilla. The missile ship "Dagestan" became the first ship of the Russian Navy, armed with a universal missile system, "Caliber," capable of using several types of high-precision missiles, both against surface and coastal targets, at ranges up to 2000 km.
