Dagestan Secures EUR 47 Million Funding for Makhachkala Seaport Access Road

On August 7, Prime Minister of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov stated that through the efforts of Dagestani head Sergey Melikov, Dagestan will receive more than 5 billion rubles [EUR 47 million] to solve an important task for the region.
He said that last week, during a meeting between Melikov and the head of Rosavtodor Roman Novikov, the head of the region agreed on allocating more than 5 billion rubles [EUR 47 million] for the construction of an access road to the commercial seaport in Makhachkala.
"And this is in conditions when every ruble counts. The head of our republic manages to build effective contact with the federal authorities. Our job is to ensure this task's high-quality and timely fulfillment," the prime minister said.
The new object of the street and road network will make it possible to provide a detour of the capital, thereby freeing the central streets of Makhachkala, through which the main traffic flow to the port now goes. "The implementation of the project involves the construction of a transport interchange across the railway at the entrance to the Beryozka beach," Abdulmuslimov said.
