
Dagestan to form "Caspian" volunteer battalion

On September 27, at a meeting with the chairmen of conscription commissions and military commissars, the head of the federal republic Sergei Melikov said that Dagestan will create a volunteer battalion "Caspian".
According to him, already now a large number of Dagestanis express their desire to serve in this battalion. "We have very high results in the most critical areas shows 177 Marine Regiment. It is based on volunteers mobilized last year. I would call this regiment a national regiment. The same results can be achieved by a volunteer battalion. I consider this initiative very important and noble, because our compatriots have never run away from difficulties," the head of Dagestan noted.
Melikov instructed the relevant structures to work on the issue. At the same time, the head of Dagestan emphasized that all volunteers will serve on the same territory. The contract can be signed for a period of 6 to 12 months. Salary from 1902 EUR, regional payment - 1219 EUR.
