Erdoğan Says Zangezur Corridor Will Benefit Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, And Region
On July 21, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the President of Turkey, stated that the Zangezur Corridor would bring benefits not only to Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey, but also to other countries in the region. Speaking to reporters, Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey considers the project to be of high geopolitical significance. "The Zangezur Corridor will connect our region with others and revive trade. Our main expectation is that this route will become a symbol of harmony, not a source of discord," he stated. The Turkish President expressed confidence that regional countries could address all matters related to the project independently through dialogue. He also noted that Ilham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan, places great strategic importance on the initiative. "He wants to launch the project as soon as possible and use this route for the benefit of not only Azerbaijan, but the entire region," Erdoğan added.
