Georgian Dream's Head Anticipates Presidential Resignation Before Elections

On December 5, Irakli Kobakhidze, the head of the Georgian Dream party, stated that there is a high probability that Salome Zourabichvili would step down a few months before the elections and run in the parliamentary elections, even though everyone is fully aware of this person's actual popularity.
Kobakhidze noted that the current political picture gives them the pretext for such reasoning. "There is a very high probability that one or two months before the parliamentary elections, Salome Zourabichvili will resign and take part in the parliamentary elections, although everyone knows very well what this person's rating is in reality, and therefore, what are the chances of her making any contribution to the strengthening of the collective United National Movement before the elections," the Georgian official said.
