Georgian Parliament Speaker Cites US Intelligence on “Pro-Russian” Label Tactic

| News, Politics, Georgia

Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, stated on July 29 that the US National Intelligence Agency had confirmed the use of the "pro-Russian" label as a tactic orchestrated through corrupt politicians and non-governmental organizations. Papuashvili wrote, "The exposure of the conspiracy of the century, ‘Russian interference,’ by the new US administration has confirmed that the label ‘pro-Russian’ is a centralized tactic that is being implemented in other countries through bribed politicians and NGOs".

He added that the head of National Intelligence had provided "a universal test" for identifying these actors, citing the repeated use of "code words" such as "pro-Russian" and "Russian interference" as characteristic signs of agents trained by the so-called "deep state". Papuashvili also referenced a music video by singer Zaza Nozadze, claiming the artist had exposed the same "conspiracy" years earlier. "Where was the National Intelligence Service when Zaza Nozadze exposed this conspiracy years ago in the video clip ‘Liberal Zazas’?" Papuashvili wrote.
