Georgian PM Dismisses Opposition Unification Prospects as "Zero"

On June 21, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said that the unification of the opposition has zero prospects. He was asked, "What is the perspective of the opposition's unification?" Gharibashvili stated that it is zero. "The opposition is disintegrated, degraded, and in a poor state," Gharibashvili said.
In addition, the journalists asked the Prime Minister to evaluate the results of Edison Research's public opinion poll, to which the head of government noted that these were ridiculous results. "There are ordinary fake, falsified, ridiculous results," Gharibashvili noted.
Notably, according to the Edison Research poll, when asked which party they would vote for if parliamentary elections were held today, the majority of respondents named Georgian Dream, followed by National Movement. According to the party ranking, For Georgia party is in third place. The survey results were distributed as follows: Georgian Dream - 37%; United National Movement - 25%; For Georgia - 6%; Labor Party - 5%; Lelo - 4%; Girchi - More Freedom (Zurab Japaridze) - 4%; For the People (Ana Dolidze) - 3%; Strategy Builder - 3%; Girchi (Iago Khvichia) - 3%; Droa - 2%; Alt Info - 2%; Citizens - 2%; People's Power - 2%; European Georgia - 1%; Alliance of Patriots - 1%.
Moreover, Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze called for an apology from all those who supported the lies of the faker Mikheil Saakashvili.
"Saakashvili feigned for 600 days, and, unfortunately, this simulation was widely supported by foreigners," Kobakhidze stressed.
According to him, the people who helped the imprisoned ex-president to lie should apologize to the Georgian society. "These are specific politicians, diplomats, a former public defender, members of his council, etc. The circle of these people is quite wide. For 600 days, they proved to us that this man was dying every day. You probably know the play 'First they died, then they got married' - Saakashvili first died, and now he enters politics. We are dealing with complete absurdity. When it comes to the author's return of such an absurdity to politics, of course, he has no chance of success," Kobakhidze said.
