Irakli Kobakhidze: "It is Time to Neutralize United National Movement"

Georgian Dream Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze said it was time to neutralize the former ruling United National Movement (UNM) party founded by ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili.
"They cannot be our country's second political force and main opposition force. Therefore, everything will be done to replace this agency with a healthy, patriotic opposition," Kobakhidze said. According to him, the UNM committed massive crimes while in power, which should be systematized.
"It will be a small Nuremberg for these people at the level of assessments – reminders. All this we must do at the level of systematization. The trouble of our country is that this party ruled Georgia for nine years, and the trouble of our country is that they are the main opposition force to this day," he added. Kobakhidze also noted that the opposition, which advocates the creation of a commission to investigate corruption in the judiciary, is in the service of the global war party. According to him, these people are foreign agents, their goal is to prevent Georgia from obtaining candidate status, and therefore they want to prove that there is a bad court in the country.
